A Snapshot of Your Day

The Sales Director –Inverter Product Line will provide support for the Solar Photovoltaic and Battery Storage Business Segment. This role is remote, but requires travel to support account management activity.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Independently lead sales and business development activities for Inverter product line with assigned Solar and BESS (Utility, EPC and IPP ) customer accounts
  • Develops customer contacts builds and maintains a sound customer focused network at all relevant hierarchical levels.
  • Generates value-oriented offers and respond to customer Request for proposals (RFP) in a timely manner
  • Work with assigned contract management team to close contracts in a timely manner and win business
  • Assist the product management teams to define and improve the product portfolio for use in the North American market by regularly gathering feedback from customers, business partners and by closely monitoring industry trends.
  • Provide input regarding marketing and product positioning strategies specific to the US and Canadian markets.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering background preferred not required)
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience preferred in Power Electronics / Electrical/ Transmission product sales
  • Experience in the PV and BESS industry and Industry contacts will be a significant advantage
  • Candidates should have a verifiable record of successfully growing market share.
  • Proficiency in MS Office- Word, Excel, Power Point, excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Adaptable, Proactive and good Time Management skills

Travel as needed to support account management activities

This role may be based in various locations across the United States. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits, including paid time off and holiday pay. For positions based in the United States, the base salary range is $150,000 to $200,000 annually, and the annual incentive target is from 10% to 20% of the base salary.

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
