As the Head of SE GS NA CD, you will step into a critical N-2 business leadership position and serve as a member of the senior management team of Siemens Energy Gas Services North America (NA). This role drives the Service Controls and Digitalization business as the regional head responsible for business strategy and its implementation. You will be accountable for the strategic, general, and operational management of the business unit, ensuring expected growth and consolidated profitability across the United States and Canada

 

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive business strategy to increase market share, support growth, and establish a sustainable, profitable business
  • Lead the annual Profit & Loss (P&L) of the SE GS NA CD business in the USA and Canada, driving responsibility for Order Entry, Sales/Revenue, and EBIT
  • Lead strategic planning and market analysis for North American Controls and Digitalization within power plants
  • Create and conceptualize policies, programs, and portfolio solutions for your area of responsibility, forecasting their business impact and establishing future directions that affect the company 
  • Lead by example, promoting Siemens Energy values, empowering local teams, and establishing a culture of accountability, simplification, and continuous improvement
  • Define workflows, jobs, and reporting relationships to achieve optimum organizational effectiveness
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and business plans, with complete authority to identify and approve resource needs
  • Work in a highly global matrix environment, collaborating closely with regional colleagues and providing strategic input to Germany on products, development efforts, and alignment with overall corporate strategies
  • Position the business as a strategic partner with major customers, maintaining executive-level relationships to secure long-term loyalty and satisfaction
  • Operate to the highest moral, ethical, and business standards, managing risk, protecting the Siemens Energy brand, and acting as an activist for safety and quality


What You Bring
  • Longterm management experience within an automation and controls solutions business as well as senior management experience within the power generation industry (a pre-requisite due to the nature of our business)
  • In-depth, comprehensive knowledge of Controls, Electrical, & Digitalization (CD) business operations
  • Demonstrated P&L responsibility, budgetary management experience, and a track record of setting strategic targets and defining/monitoring business KPIs
  • Demonstrable evidence of direct sales, after-sales activities, successful project/service business execution, and management of multi-disciplined teams
  • Proven ability to work successfully in a highly global matrix environment with European counterparts, showcasing a style that is demanding of results yet highly collaborative
  • Exceptional people skills to lead, motivate, and stimulate extraordinary behavior from a highly experienced, multicultural, and remote workforce
  • Strong executive customer relationship skills, negotiation tactics, and conflict management capabilities
  • Ability to think outside the box to troubleshoot and resolve extremely complex problems across multiple departments or cross-functional areas
  • Degree level or equivalent in Business Management, Engineering, or a Technology-related subject]
About the Team 

Our Gas Services team offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
