A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Service Repair Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the refurbishment of turbine components such as blades, vanes, and ring segments. Your day will include developing, qualifying, and improving cost‑effective repair processes used across Siemens Energy and global vendor shops. You’ll collaborate closely with New Product Design teams on Design for Repair (DfR) initiatives and provide engineering support to internal and external factories. By driving innovation, advancing repair technologies, and leading cross‑functional projects, you will help extend component life, improve reliability, and reduce refurbishment costs.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Lead and coordinate repair, modification, upgrade, and DfR development/qualification projects with full technical and timeline responsibility.

Support implementation of new repair technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing) and provide shop‑floor technical guidance and Non-Conformance Report (NCR) evaluations.

Collaborate with service, lifing, design engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust repair solutions.

Follow the Product Development Process (PDP), ensuring documentation, milestone tracking, risk assessments, and process qualifications.

Drive cost‑out initiatives and continuous improvement through structured engineering and data‑driven project work.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, or related engineering field; in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of engineering experience is acceptable.

Minimum 4+ years of experience in superalloys, coatings, manufacturing processes, materials behavior, Design for Manufacturing (DfM), or hot‑section gas turbine component repair.

Proven ability to manage technical tasks, coordinate cross‑functional work, and apply digital tools for data‑driven problem solving.

Experience with SAP, Teamcenter, and basic programming or data analysis (Python, Excel VBA, SQL) is a plus.

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills with a proactive, customer‑focused, and structured working style.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% for project and shop support activities.
