As a SAM Support Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Software Asset Management (SAM) team at Siemens Energy. Your role will involve providing comprehensive support for internal software Asset matters, managing communications, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize software usage, track licenses, and maintain compliance with licensing agreements. Your expertise in SAM processes and procedures will be critical in generating specialized reports and supporting the organization's Software asset management objectives.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• You will be part of Software Asset Management Operations team which has added responsibility to provide support to all incoming requests for software/tools from different suppliers.
• You will partially be involved to look after license management lifecycle.
• Daily job involves Emails, Calls, troubleshoot with user, Reporting, Keeping track of different type of licenses.
• Actively collaborate with Global team of License Managers
• Provide 1st and 2nd level support for Siemens-Energy internal software asset.
• Support on License Proof Registration
• Responsible of Installation Support, Management of Named User License Portals and Keys, Documentation and Knowledge Base
• Keep records of software assets, hardware assets, commercial data, and organizational data up-to-date and accurate.
• Support on License Consumption Reporting and License Balance Reports
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of software, hardware, commercial and organizational data, and Compliance Management
• Risk and Demand Assessment
• Commercial SAM Data Quality and Tracking Usage Data for Internal Charging.

What You Bring

• Must have 3+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or related support roles.
• Must have experience in Software Asset management tool Like Flexera or ServiceNow SAM Pro.
• Knowledge of SAP Ariba would be an added advantage but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of software licensing agreements and compliance requirements is advantageous.
• Good communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge in one of the following licensing areas is advantageous: Microsoft or Oracle or Adobe or VMWare.
• Communication skills in German Language would be added advantage but not mandatory.
