A Snapshot of Your Day

The primary responsibility of a Proposal Engineer (Bid Manager) is to develop proposals for global projects involving centrifugal compressors for Siemens Energy's client base. To enhance our service to clients in Europe and Africa, we are seeking qualified candidates to join our business team in Łódź. You will review customer RFQs, develop comprehensive proposals including technical specifications, equipment selections, cost analysis, and coordinate with internal Siemens Energy departments and external suppliers to optimize solutions and negotiate mutually beneficial terms.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop proposals based on Customer Request For Quotation (RFQ), including reviewing and commenting on the Customer’s Technical Specifications.
  • Perform compressor equipment selections, including other drivers and auxiliary systems.
  • Fully configure and propose optimized solutions, including sub-suppliers’ equipment, cost analysis, and price preparation.
  • Coordinate with internal Siemens Energy departments and external suppliers, including the Siemens Energy Regional Coordination Group, Operation-based departments, and the Field Service organization.
  • Engage and negotiate with major sub-suppliers to create mutually beneficial client solutions.
  • Complete the Risk Analysis Management process.
  • Assist and support the Sales Manager in driving the energy transition, developing technical and commercial strategies, and participating in client meetings and presentations.

What You Bring 

  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience or education related to the design, specification, or operation of rotating machinery is advantageous.
  • We also welcome applications from those eager to learn and grow, even with limited experience.
  • Fluent English skills in both speaking and writing are essential; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication, problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
  • Positive, resilient, tolerant, and cooperative personality.
  • Availability and willingness to start a permanent position in Łódź.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training, project presentations, bid clarifications, and project kick-off meetings.
