As a Principal Cybersecurity Officer at Siemens Energy, your day is dynamic and multifaceted. You start by reviewing the latest cybersecurity reports and updates, ensuring that you are informed about any emerging threats or vulnerabilities. Throughout the day, you engage with various stakeholders, from executive management to technical teams, to discuss cybersecurity strategies and align on business needs. You lead meetings to drive the implementation of the global cybersecurity strategy, while also preparing comprehensive risk reports for the Chief Cybersecurity Officer and the Executive Board. Your role requires you to balance strategic planning with hands-on leadership, fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and resilience across the organization. You may also participate in external conferences or meetings with partners, representing Siemens Energy’s commitment to cybersecurity excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive cybersecurity and ensure cybersecurity resilience holistically including the portfolio (products, solutions, services), production sites and business managed IT
- Provide regular status updates and cyber risk reports to the Chief Cybersecurity Officer and the Executive Board level
- Define and drive the implementation of the global cybersecurity strategy for the project entity business
- Support the Executive Vice President to fulfill responsibilities with respect to Cybersecurityas well as identify and drive the implementation of the necessary cybersecurity setup including adequate staffing of resources
- Understand stakeholders’ business demand for cybersecurity and drive its delivery.
- Represent cybersecurity holistically (Information Security and Industrial Cybersecurity) in meetings with executive management, end-customers, on conferences and external partners
- The foundation of your success is a university degree or equivalent experience in information technology, cybersecurity or a related field
- You convince us with professional experience across different functions and businesses, including longstanding profound experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related field
- Strong ability to lead, coach and develop teams and communities. Further, you have analytical and strategic thinking capabilities to drive cybersecurity into the future
- Experience in working with multiple stakeholders in a variety of functions at multiple levels including executive management
- Intercultural awareness and ability to work in cross-functional, multi-national teams as well as personal initiative, quality and result orientation
- As you act in an international environment you bring business-fluent English language skills, in addition to local language skills
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of time
