A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our team as a Power Plant Operator and take charge of operating a combined cycle plant with four combustion turbines and one steam turbine. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly operation of plant equipment while maximizing generation and maintaining steam generation responsibilities. Imagine conducting plant operations in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, troubleshooting equipment, and collaborating with your team to enhance performance. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our mission of sustainable energy generation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Oversee the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, ensuring reliability and environmental compliance.
• Execute equipment clearance procedures and manage safety protocols, including Job Safety Analysis and Hot Work Permits.
• Operate DCS and PLC systems, including Siemens T3000 and Ovation, to monitor and control plant operations.
• Conduct water sampling and analysis, adjusting chemical feeds to maintain water quality within desired specifications.
• Collaborate with the Control Room Operator to align plant equipment and troubleshoot operational issues effectively.

What You Bring

• Five years of experience as a plant operator in a power plant environment, preferably in a combined cycle combustion turbine setting.
• Strong knowledge of HRSGs, combustion turbines, generators, and related systems and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, along with basic mathematical skills for flow and pressure calculations.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with a solid understanding of troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and capable of using computerized maintenance management systems.
