A snap of your Day

This role is a replacement to ensure business continuity for the Offshore Service Operations in Ishikari wind farm in Japan. As a Site Manager, the position is critical for leading a team of Site Technicians and guaranteeing the operational readiness and performance of wind power assets. To meet these objectives, the role is structured around three core areas: leading and developing the on-site technical team, enforcing rigorous health, safety, and quality standards, and coordinating all site-level project activities and resources. This focus ensures that daily operations are executed efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with project specifications. Given the emphasis on technical leadership and operational excellence in the wind energy sector, the ideal candidate will possess proven experience supervising technical teams, a strong background in site safety management, and proficiency in project coordination. Fluency in Japanese and business-level English is essential for effective team and stakeholder communication.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • 40% Site Operations & Team Management
    • Supervise and set day-to-day operational objectives for a team of para-professional Site Technicians.
    • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily service, maintenance, and repair activities on offshore wind turbines.
    • Ensure team adherence to all company policies, operational practices, and technical procedures.
    • Manage team performance, providing coaching and technical guidance to resolve on-site issues effectively.
  • 30% Health, Safety, and Quality (HSQE) Compliance
    • Implement and enforce all company and regulatory health and safety standards across the site.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety briefings to maintain a secure working environment.
    • Ensure all work performed by the team complies with project quality plans, technical specifications, and contractual requirements.
    • Manage and report all HSQE incidents and non-conformities, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • 30% Project Coordination & Resource Planning
    • Coordinate with project management to align site activities with the overall project schedule and objectives.
    • Manage on-site resources, including manpower, tools, and equipment, to ensure availability and meet operational targets.
    • Review technical drawings and specifications to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper execution of work.
    • Prepare and submit detailed daily/weekly progress reports, service logs, and other required documentation.
