The Compressor Package Design Specialist guides and leads or supports development, standardization, and cost reduction projects. The focus is on the evaluating product design in area of centrifugal compressor components and package solutions in the field of energy transition and decarbonization of industry.
Expansion of engineering tasks in the dimensions of "Material Cost Efficiency" (Cost-out), "Beneficial Measures" (Engineering Efficiency), Employee Training, Concept Design.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Supporting the product strategy in relation to emerging markets for energy transition and decarbonization with solutions for package design, standardization, and documentation. Strategic first focus will be piping design and thickness calculation according to ASME B31.3 & DIN EN 13480.
- Being technically detail oriented with skills in advanced analysis, solving complex problems, decision making, managing multiple projects, and meeting stringent customer deadlines.
- Participates in workshops with portfolio management and generates ideas for design-to-cost and further improvement measures.
- Supports non-conformance investigations and 5WHY root cause analysis and applies his expertise to help engineering teams develop corrective actions for customer projects.
- Assists bid management in assessing non-standard project requirements, designs new concepts and additional risk mitigation measures as part of the ROA process in the bidding phase.
- Develops and leads learning programs for other departments on his specialist topics.
What You Bring
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with rotating equipment preferred.
- 5+ years expertise in turbo compressor systems, components, and international standards in the oil and gas sector and knowledge of piping thickness calculations.
- Knowledge about process gas coolers design will be added advantage.
- Proven knowledge of the processes, the business software (e.g., NX, Teamcenter, COMOS)
- Interest in solving complex problems and demonstrating high professional judgment to solve complex problems. Experience working in a global environment, leading global project teams is preferred.
