役割について
A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Industrial Engineer at Siemens Energy, you’ll support the BVT (Blades & Vanes) Expansion project within the Operations Tampa manufacturing facility. The position is essential for developing and managing production schedules to meet the increased demand associated with our growth. This role will focus on three primary areas: advanced production scheduling, continuous process optimization, and data-driven reporting. This involves creating and managing detailed manufacturing plans, analyzing production data to identify bottlenecks, and implementing efficiency improvements across the production lifecycle. Given the focus on complex scheduling and process improvement, the ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert with extensive experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP systems like SAP, lean manufacturing principles, and data analysis is essential for success in this role.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop, implement, and manage complex production schedules for blades and vanes manufacturing, aligning with BVT expansion project goals.
- Sequence and assign available resources, including labor, machinery, and tooling, to specific work centers to optimize workflow and meet output targets.
- Proactively adjust schedules in response to material shortages, machine downtime, design changes, or other operational disruptions.
- Conduct capacity planning and analysis to ensure production capabilities can meet current and forecasted customer demand.
- Analyze production workflows and operational data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and participate in initiatives leveraging lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to streamline processes from raw material intake to finished product shipment.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of production data within SAP and other manufacturing execution systems.
- Generate and present reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and resource utilization to management.
- Coach and guide junior-level professionals on scheduling best practices and system usage.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in production planning, scheduling, or industrial engineering within a complex manufacturing environment.
- Professional certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma Green Belt, demonstrating advanced expertise in production planning and continuous improvement.
- Strong technical knowledge in production scheduling, capacity planning, material requirements planning (MRP), SAP applications, and lean manufacturing.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a track record of driving process improvement and supporting data‑driven decision‑making.
- Demonstrated experience as a subject matter expert, managing large projects or processes with limited oversight.
- Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
