A Snapshot of Your Day
In this role, you will lead the newly formed “Can Annular Design West” team, managing 14 talented engineers. You and your team will be part of our global Large Gas Turbine Combustion Engineering organization, driving the design of next generation can annular combustion systems focused on higher performance, lower emissions, and new fuel technologies. This is your opportunity to shape innovative combustion solutions that power the future of gas turbines.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Line Manager for 14 employees across Orlando (ORL) and Charlotte (CLT)
- Lead top engineers in mechanical design, product definition, combustion aerodynamics, IPT and Lead roles.
- Responsible for the design and analysis of combustion systems and components, with a special focus on can annular designs.
- Oversee the Combustion IPT process and ensure adherence to related guidelines.
- Drive Combustion Module quality through VI, CAPA, and waiver management.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace, Product, or Chemical Engineering.
- 5–10 years leading projects, products, or manufacturing, with a minimum of 5 years in engineering.
- Solid understanding of turbomachinery, from academic or professional experience, is a must.
- Profound experience in project management, manufacturing and product development (preferably in Combustion System design).
- Excited about combustion system design; this role focuses on product-level engineering, not full plant design.
- Strong communication and management skills, with experience collaborating globally across manufacturing, procurement, and engineering teams.
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
