We are seeking a Junior Applications Engineer. This role provides technical support for business processes and growth initiatives related to the high voltage circuit breaker and surge arrester businesses. It requires continuous and active participation in the technical application of products and providing product solutions to customers in coordination with the sales team.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Become a subject matter expert on key product lines and applications.
- Develop a working knowledge of markets, channels, and customer base for product lines.
- Evaluate customer specifications in order to propose solutions and obtain approvals.
- Create timely, accurate, and competitive quotations; perform follow-up and win/loss analysis.
- Proactively interface with customers on questions and issues related to product application.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or higher; Advanced degree is a plus.
- Technical aptitude and desire to learn and understand business dynamics.
- Willingness to acquire a working knowledge of the power transmission & distribution products.
- Ability to work systematically on specifications, applications, and strategic pricing.
- Aptitude for engineering standards and product application.
- Effective communication skills to convey technical information to different audience types.
