About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our team as a QA Technician at Siemens Energy Central Services in Charlotte, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process. You will provide both in-process and final inspection services, meticulously documenting your findings using Quality Control Instructions and SAP software systems. Imagine being part of a dynamic environment where your Level II certifications in VT, MT, and PT will empower you to make a significant impact on our operations. Your expertise will not only uphold our quality standards but also contribute to the overall success of our projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will provide essential inspection services during both in-process and final stages, leveraging your 5+ years of quality experience.
- You must achieve and maintain Siemens Energy Level II Certification in VT, MT, and PT, ensuring compliance with our rigorous standards.
- You will take critical dimensional measurements using standard and special gauging, documenting your findings through Quality Control Charts and presentations.
- You will validate QA/NDE paperwork for accuracy in the Operating Information Landscape (OIL) and manage the upload of reports to SAP.
- You will collaborate with engineers and supervisors to create Quality Notifications and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
What You Bring
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, along with completion of the Career Readiness Certification required by Siemens Energy.
- Level II certification in VT, MT, and PT is essential for this role, with preference given to candidates who already hold these certifications.
- Proficiency in gauging tools such as micrometers, calipers, and thickness gauges, with a willingness to learn specialty gauging techniques.
- Experience with SAP and OIL operating software systems to facilitate quality assurance processes.
- A minimum of 5 years of NDE experience in the Power Generation Industry, demonstrating your capability in this field.
Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests or any other as required to perform the duties.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
