 Snapshot of Your Day

Obsolescence is a key risk in the project and lifecycle business of complex energy solutions. In your role as Obsolescence Manager (m/f/d), you actively shape the setup and firm integration of effective obsolescence management for HVDC /FACTS / BESS solutions. You operate daily at the intersection of strategy, processes, and execution, ensuring that obsolescence information is flowing and risks can be identified early, transparently assessed, and consistently addressed. You will ensure lifecycle continuity, minimize operational and commercial risk, and support long‑term customer commitments for our HVDC and FACTS portfolio.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Establish a holistic obsolescence management framework for HVDC / FACTS / BESS solutions and continuously develop the overarching obsolescence strategy and internal processes.
  • Anchor obsolescence management across all relevant areas of the Solutions organization, particularly in Purchasing, Sales, Tender Management, Engineering, Project Management, and R&D.
  • Define and take ownership of clear roles, interfaces, and governance structures to ensure effective obsolescence management across the organization.
  • Drive the further development of existing internal obsolescence processes and take responsibility for their consistent application in tenders and customer projects.
What You Bring
  • Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Several years of professional experience in project business with complex, customer-specific solutions and long product lifecycles, ideally in the energy, HVDC, FACTS or BESS environment.
  • Strong expertise in project leadership as well as project and stakeholder management, including the confident coordination of cross-functional topics between Purchasing, Sales, Tender Management, Engineering, and R&D.
  • Experience in obsolescence management, lifecycle management, supply chain management, risk management, or comparable functions.
  • Strong understanding of processes and governance, as well as experience in building, further developing, and applying processes in complex organizational environments.
  • Well-developed change-management capabilities, assertiveness, high level of ownership, and confident interaction with internal stakeholders across different hierarchy levels.
