A Snapshot of Your Day

The Mathematician / Statistician will perform analysis on databases and existent data treatment modules, suggesting improvements, revisions, and creation of new analytics tools. This role requires a problem-solving orientation and an organized profile to document and report all steps of the work under development.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Apply data science for pattern detection and algorithms development.
  • Implement data analysis tools with mathematical/statistical methods for ranking categorization.
  • Improve and develop new analytics for asset-related condition (e.g. health index, availability ratio, congestion management process, etc.).
  • Provide thorough documentation on modeling description and data treatment methodologies.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.
  • 2+ years of experience with data science or data analysis is a plus.
  • Have a problem-solving focus to analyze datasets and provide alternatives for treatment implementation.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence modules.
  • Good in teamwork and communication with peers to find best solution applicable.
  • Ability to report and document work developed in a clear and comprehensive manner.
  • Fluent in English (written/spoken); proficiency in additional language is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship (internal transfers possible for current Siemens Energy visa holders).
