A Snapshot of Your Day

This role in located in Orlando, FL or Charlotte NC.  As a Fleet Planning Manager in the global planning team, you will make a significant contribution to the success of our global fleet of the most advanced Generators or Steam Turbines. Collaborate with global teammates for new part business and service facilities like Charlotte, Muelheim, and Fort Payne. You will collaborate with various interdisciplinary teams, including Sales, project and product management, engineering, purchasing, to make key decisions for load planning and inventory management!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead demand and inventory planning for new major components with focus of the North and Latin America region
  • Coordinate mid and long term planning and slot allocation with internal factories to ensure timely availability
  • Drive the optimization of forecast accuracy and a robust risk and safety stock planning including yearly inventory budget process
  • Improve inventory management and ensure delivery capability and reliability for all major parts of the led fleet
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal partners, e.g. Sales, Project and Product Management, factories and engineering on technical or commercial matters of major parts
  • Identify and implement standard methodologies in operations, tools, and processes and encourage process synchronization across functions for global use

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar required with 5+ years of power generation experience. Strong English language skills, both spoken and written
  • Product knowledge of Generator and / or Steam turbine technology and manufacturing processes
  • Expertise in planning methodologies and project management
  • Basic knowledge of business administration
  • Experience of IT applications used such as MS Office, SAP, PCM, etc.
  • An effective team member with excellent interpersonal skills, strong logical and analytical thinking, and a confident, assertive approach

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
