Snapshot of Your Day:

We are looking for an Application Engineer – Gimpel Valves in Houston, TX responsible for training service personnel in Gimple familiarization training (operation and theory), Gimple service requirements (inspection and testing), and Gimple repair and overhaul procedures, field service procedures, testing and inspection reports.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Provide technical support to service personnel and clients.
  • Responsible for support of sales worldwide with complete product knowledge understanding of the application of Gimple valves for proposal and project development.
  • Develop an overall understanding of product fits for Gimple valves, service and spare requirements.
  • Help develop sales strategies for the Gimple product line including original equipment manufacturers, end users, and aftermarket.
  • Responsible for creation of technical and commercial projects.
  • 25% domestic/international travel required.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience.
  • Full term of experience must include: steam turbine design and operation;
  • American Petroleum Institute knowledge;
  • Design for pressure containing components;
  • Spring force calculations;
  • Auto CAD;
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings;
  • Manufacturing/machine knowledge; and
  • Global supply chain.
  • 25% domestic/international travel required.
