About the Role
We are looking for an Application Engineer and Business Developer – Electrical Substation Products in Richland, MS to provide technical solutions to customers per their application in electrical substation.
- Prepare commercial calculation of high voltage products according to customer technical requirement.
- Provide quotations and proposals using customized CRM salesforce tool.
- Handle contract management including technical, commercial, and legal aspects.
- Responsible for business development by promoting high voltage products.
- Visit customers to promote high voltage products, contract negotiation and product training.
- Participate in business review, product development and project management meetings.
- Apply advanced specialized knowledge of electrical power systems, including circuit breaker chamber architecture, surge arresters, circuit breakers variants, models, mechanical drivers, switching reactors and long power transmission lines in order to be responsible for the application of Siemens Energy’s SPS2 and SPS2S HV circuit breaker products using substation drawings and single line diagrams.
- 25% domestic/5% international travel required.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 7 years of experience.
- Full term of experience must include: high voltage sub-station products;
- Design applicable circuit breaker and arrester for wind and solar power generation projects;
- Active participation in business review and project management meetings;
- Independent management of the full contract including initial mark-up and term negotiation, ensuring compliance, and monitoring/renewals;
- Identifying risks and opportunities associated with customer purchase orders as per company guidelines.
- 25% domestic/5% international travel required.
