A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Vice President Sales Central Service for Gas Services North America to drive our Central service sales portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales strategies, enhancing market penetration, and ensuring that service revenue and growth targets are met across the North American markets. This role is pivotal in strengthening our presence and expanding our customer base in a competitive and rapidly evolving industry. You will manage multiple teams and managers across the region to ensure they identify the client project evaluators, influencers, and decision-makers in customer organizations and drive the Siemens Energy value at each stage of the acquisition cycle.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in North America.
  • Lead and mentor the sales teams, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Work with new equipment sales teams to bring growth to the organization on a wall-to-wall basis.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Network with customers at management levels, build long-term strategic relationships, and be actively involved in key decisions on projects.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and timely reports to Regional Service Unit and Execution Unit Management.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, Product Development, Execution, and Customer Support teams to ensure brand consistency and increase sales both at regional and global levels.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to maintain a high profile and professional network within the energy sector.
  • The role reports directly to the SVP Service for Gas Services North America, who reports to the Executive Management Board member of Siemens Energy.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • 15 or more years of experience in the energy industry, with a strong sales leadership track record, preferably in gas turbines or similar technologies.
  • 10 or more years of people management experience, including managing managers.
  • In-depth understanding of the North American market and regulatory environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute short, mid, and long-term growth strategies.
  • Skills in building a sustainable organization for the Central portfolio’s growth in North America.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills at all organizational levels, especially executive and C-level.
  • Experience managing large order volumes, negotiating contracts, and overseeing sales cycles from planning to closure.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to achieve win-win solutions with customers.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and management skills for large teams.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the region and globally as needed.

Our Gas Services business area offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
