Strategic Project Manager

A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Strategic Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of transforming the Operational Procurement function within the Supply Chain Unit. Your role will involve defining and implementing clear roles, ambitious targets, and strategic initiatives that drive accountability and efficiency. You will shape these initiatives by organizing leadership workshops, tracking transformation measures, and crafting impactful employee communications. Additionally, you will facilitate standard and management meetings, ensuring the successful completion of action items and initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Define and implement strategic initiatives to transform the new function within the organization.
  • Manage strategic projects from inception to completion, including data gathering, reporting, execution, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Organize and prepare for supplier meetings, internal business reviews, and standard meetings, including taking proper notes and assigning action items with responsibilities.
  • Assist in decision-making processes and support crisis management efforts as needed.
  • Implement regular communication channels and updates to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged, while tracking and reviewing the progress of initiatives to identify and address potential issues promptly.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or Law.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience, with project management of strategic initiatives or management consultancy experience being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the blades and vanes supply chain industry and products is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, even under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management tools, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality handling.
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, and anticipate needs proactively.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
