A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a Commercial Project Manager to take full ownership of the financial, contractual, and risk management of assigned wind energy projects throughout their entire lifecycle. In this role, you will act as a strategic financial partner to Project Managers and cross-functional teams, driving project profitability by overseeing revenue recognition, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and compliance under IFRS/GAAP standards. Your daily responsibilities will include managing SAP project structures, handling invoicing, and leading contract negotiations or change orders. Ultimately, you will ensure robust internal controls while actively mitigating financial risks to optimize commercial and operational outcomes for our wind energy portfolio.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Take full ownership of the commercial and financial management of assigned wind projects, including revenue, margin, cash flow, invoicing, accounting, tax, foreign exchange, guarantees, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive project financial performance and forecasting, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, cost control, profitability tracking, and monthly forecasts for revenue, gross profit, cash flow, and balance sheet positions in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
  • Partner with Project Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to support project execution, contract management, change order negotiations, risk mitigation, and resolution of commercial, contractual, and financial matters.
  • Maintain accurate project financial records and reporting, including SAP project structures, cost allocations, billing plans, project reviews, and management reporting, while ensuring adherence to internal controls, governance requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities, collaborating with Legal, Tax, Procurement, Engineering, and Operations teams to minimize financial exposure, optimize project outcomes, and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related financial field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a similar financial project or commercial project role; and IPMA as a plus
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS, with the ability to read, interpret, and apply contractual terms and regulations; experience supporting construction projects is considered a plus.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and financial analysis, combined with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Self-driven and detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, willingness to travel (~5%), and professional working proficiency in English.
