A Snapshot of Your Day 

In this important and dynamic role, you will lead the activities related to the development of Performance Optimization and related service offerings for stationary battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. You will be a critical member of a global multicultural team, focused on the research, development, go-to-market, tendering, and execution of service BESS products. You will be responsible in collaboration with your colleagues for the development of market-leading service energy storage solutions for our global customers.

 

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • lead the development and technical strategy of BESS plant performance optimization, monitoring & analytics, digitalization, and condition-based maintenance.
  • further develop our Service Portfolio including LTSA (long term service agreement) offerings for our BESS solution and bringing these service offerings to market.
  • identify market opportunities, define market requirements, foster partnerships, develop product roadmaps in collaboration with R&D teams, and lead the market introduction to ensure the successful implementation of BESS digitalization and analytics offerings
  • create comprehensive digital services (i.e. monitoring) and solutions for customers to enhance asset safety, predict maintenance requirements, improve performance, and optimize assets throughout the entire project lifespan.
  • develop the initial offerings and applications coordinating with cross-functional teams including Instrumentation and Controls (I&C), Software Architects, T3000 Application Experts, Tendering, and Customers.
  • configure custom solutions to support our customer using state-of-the-art cybersecurity practices.
  • coordinate with cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between customer needs, product development, application, and implementation in customer projects.

 

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, electrochemistry, power systems, or a similar field
  • At least 5 years of experience in the energy industry with experience in digitalization, performance, innovation and technology development
  • Product introduction experience of utility scale performance optimization service offerings, condition monitoring analytics, digital services, simulation and digital-twin technologies for plant optimization
  • Customer facing capabilities to co-develop solutions with key customers globally and locally
  • Experience with Siemens Energy’s Omnivise platform or similar with thorough knowledge of its working and architecture
  • Understanding of stationary battery storage systems, performance guarantees, LTSAs, technologies, and components including batteries, transformers, controls, monitoring, digitalization or power conversion systems
  • Ability to envision and prepare for the future, challenge the status quo, and break down the future vision into operational tasks
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
