A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

As a Senior Business Analyst for our Additive Manufacturing (AM) activities in North America, you will be part of an international team! You will coordinate all financial activities related to our manufacturing operations, R&D organization, and third-party sales. You will provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and operational trends to support the AM organization in achieving its targets and to derive recommendations for sound decision-making. You will help craft a rapidly growing part of the business while operating with a high degree of independence and personal accountability!

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Handle all finance related activities of the AM operations and R&D group in the US & Canada.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts and financial reports to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Monitor and proactively handle our financial critical metrics while ensuring compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with department head(s) to identify and implement cost-saving measures and new business opportunities.
  • Costing and pricing for customer projects in conjunction with the sales and engineering teams
  • Strive for standardization, harmonization, and digitalization of the finance processes together with the global FIN team

What You Bring (requirements)

  • M.Sc or equivalent experience in Business or Finance
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in finance within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Proven understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with sophisticated Excel skills and ideally, expertise in digitalization of financial processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate optimally across departments and continents
  • Capable of working independently of headquarters and in managing conflicting priorities
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and the digitalization of the fleet.
