As a product drawing detail designer, You will create and modify detail engineering drawings, 3-D models using Siemens NX and Globus Teamcenter to support drawing release, revision of drawings of components & assemblies in compliance to Siemens-energy standards, Jira tool, checklists and practices for different Siemens-Energy single shaft Turbo Compressor assemblies, performing detail self-review and peer review with infrequent check to release of non-critical drawings.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Verify/Check/Review engineering drawings, 3-D models using NX & Teamcenter, to support drawing conversion, revision of drawings of components & assemblies in compliance to Siemens Energy standards and practices for different products.
- Reduce design/drafting errors cause for rework or scrap the engineered parts in manufacturing.
- Provide timely & accurate feedback to detailers & layout drafters for improvement of quality of drawings.
- Check & verify Bill of Materials (BOM) for engineering parts and assemblies.
- Verify Globus workflows for all the required properties.
- Participation of design review meetings & focus group meetings.
- Switch within priorities to align with delivery commitments.
- Keep work status up to date in database.
What You Bring
- 4+ years after BE (Mechanical) / 5+ years after Diploma in NX (Modeling, Drafting).
- Expertise in using NX CAD.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good hold on basic engineering & drawings.
- Hands on experience on Globus.
- Basic knowledge of ASME Y14.5.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes like casting, forging, welding.
- Basic knowledge of Turbo machinery (Rotary Equipment) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Parametric modeling, Expression based modeling, Part families, Wave-Link Geometry.
- Sound documentation capabilities with MS Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel & PPT.
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally with short notice (estimated 0-10% travel)
