As part of our mission to energize society and design the difference for future generations, we are hiring a senior or staff level analyst to support the SGT‑A05 product line in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you’ll take on meaningful, hands-on work - sustaining legacy products while advancing new designs that define the future of small gas turbines.  You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues in Indianapolis and partners across our global network, with ample opportunities for mentorship, cross-functional projects, and continuous development.  Join a team culture that values technical excellence, open collaboration, and a shared passion for advancing engineering.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Be the site expert on heat transfer and stress analysis
  • Coordinate, oversee, and perform the analysis of gas turbine components, sub-systems, and systems.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams through precise instructions, specifications, and reports.
  • Mentor other engineers to adopt best practices and techniques.

 

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience with gas turbine design and analysis.
  • 10+ years experience with stress and thermal analysis.
  • ANSYS Workbench required and SC03 is preferred.
  • Experience modeling temperature-dependent material properties, thermal expansion, plasticity, creep, and thermal fatigue for high-temperature metals, alloys, and insulation materials.
  • Scripting and automation skills for parametric studies, optimization / DOE, batch runs, and post-processing workflows.
  • Familiarity with HPC / parallel computing and job scheduling to run large models efficiently.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with design, manufacturing, and operations teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
