A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our team as Project Scheduler (f/m/d) for turnkey high-voltage substation projects within our Grid Technology Substations Germany organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, consolidation, and maintenance of integrated project schedules across all phases of project execution, from tendering through to commissioning.

You will work closely with cross-functional project teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and project management, to ensure transparent, realistic, and achievable schedules. In addition, you will play a key role in defining, implementing, and continuously improving scheduling standards, tools, and methodologies across projects.

Given the complexity and scale of large infrastructure projects, the ideal candidate brings experience in project scheduling within the energy or plant engineering sector, preferably in high-voltage substations or comparable turnkey environments. While the main project focus is Germany, knowledge of international standards and best practices is a plus.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Developing, maintaining, and controlling detailed project schedules for turnkey high-voltage substation projects across all project phases
  • Integrating inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning into a consolidated, resource-loaded master schedule
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying deviations, and proactively propose mitigation measures to ensure timely project execution
  • Performing schedule risk analyses, scenario planning, and critical path assessments to support decision-making
  • Establishing, harmonizing, and continuously improving scheduling standards, methods, and tools across projects and supporting tendering activities by preparing high-level schedules, milestones, and execution strategies
  • Ensuring transparency through regular reporting, including progress updates, forecasts, and schedule KPIs for internal and external stakeholders as well as driving lessons learned and contributing to the continuous improvement of planning processes and governance

What You Bring
  • Degree in engineering, project management, industrial engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification combined with several years of relevant experience in project management and / or scheduling / planning
  • Ideally additional experience in project scheduling for complex, large-scale projects, ideally in the high-voltage, energy, or plant engineering sector
  • Expertise in scheduling methodologies (e.g., CPM) and tools such as MS Project and experience in developing and implementing scheduling standards, processes, and best practices
  • Understanding of project execution phases, interfaces, and dependencies in turnkey projects with an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data, identify risks, and derive actionable insights
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in German and proficiency in English
