A Snapshot of Your Day

A Senior Project Manager for the SGT-A65/A45 will be responsible for management of advanced service business including several long-term service projects, service agreements, outages and upgrades in the SGT-A65/A45 gas turbine portfolio. This will be according to defined Project Management (PM) standards and customer requirements, with end-to-end responsibly for economic results, quality, schedules and EHS. As one of the senior PMs in the PM team, your projects will be of higher complexity and/or scope and you will coach and mentor less experienced members of the PM team, taking an active role in team professional growth and development.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Guide project management activities on long term service projects, service agreements, outages and upgrades on the A65/A45 portfolio service projects.
  • Definition and management of schedules, budget, risk, change control, opportunity and resource management.
  • Develop and handle the customer relationships in the post-sales phase.
  • Lead project progress and technical review meetings.
  • Resource management will include the on-time delivery of materials, field service and technical documentation and reports. Ensure that contractual obligations are fulfilled.
  • Ensure project activity is conducted in accordance with PE@SE (Project Excellence at Siemens Energy) and in compliance with PM processes.
  • Take an active role in PM team and process improvement

What You Bring

  • IPMA-level B preferred.
  • BSc in Engineering or Management degree, however MSc is preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in project management/engineering and/or cost management roles with a broad knowledge of the operations and required services delivered for a related field, preferably Gas Turbines in the Oil & Gas or Power Generation Markets.
  • Able to interact and coordinate with a worldwide regionally structured organization
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Experience understanding commercial/legal contracts
  • Previous experience of implementing new and process improvement activities within a functional matrix organization and undertaking continuous improvement activities.
  • Experience in a global, multi-cultural environment, & comfortable working autonomously
  • Diplomatic, approachable, with superior networking and relationship building skills
  • Significant experience of managing multiple stakeholders within supply chain, tendering, operational and manufacturing environments.
