A Snapshot of Your Day
The Portfolio Bid Manager – Controls & Digitalization is responsible for the end-to-end leadership and governance of bid and proposal activities across a defined portfolio of Controls, Digitalization, and Decarbonization opportunities in Korea and Japan.
The role provides portfolio-level oversight, ensuring early sales engagement, commercial and technical rigor, risk management, and execution readiness across multiple bids, while working closely with Sales, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and regional/global bid teams in Korea, APAC, India, and Germany.
This position plays a critical role in converting opportunities into competitive, compliant, and execution-ready orders, aligned with Siemens Energy’s governance and risk framework.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Own and lead end‑to‑end bid and proposal activities across a portfolio of Controls & Digitalisation opportunities in Korea and Japan, including DCS (SPPA‑T3000, Omnivise T3000, SCADA, Simulator), Electrical, and integrated control systems.
- Ensure consistent application of Siemens Energy bid processes, approval gates, and governance standards across all bids, while managing multiple bids in parallel and balancing priorities and resources.
- Engage early with Portfolio Sales and Account Managers to assess technical feasibility, evaluate commercial attractiveness, and shape winning strategies prior to formal bid launch.
- Lead the development of bid strategies covering technical solutioning and scope definition, risk identification and mitigation, cost structure, pricing logic, margin, scheduling, and key contractual and commercial terms.
- Coordinate technical and commercial inputs from regional and global stakeholders, lead technical clarifications, support customer discussions and contract negotiations, and act as the primary focal point for bid‑related technical topics with customers.
- Ensure delivery of high‑quality, competitive, and on‑time proposals, present bid strategies and risks to management for approval, and secure a structured handover to Project Execution with clearly defined scope, risks, assumptions, and contractual obligations.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Controls, or related discipline).
- 8–10+ years of experience in Bid / Proposal Management, Engineering, or Project roles within Power Generation, Oil & Gas Controls, DCS, and Digitalisation domains, preferably with Omnivise T3000 exposure.
- Strong technical understanding of control systems and power plant environments, including engineering, erection, and commissioning interfaces.
- Solid knowledge of commercial and contractual terms, risk and claims management, and cost estimation and margin management.
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional and cross‑country teams, with direct customer interaction including public utilities and IPPs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for both management and customers; fluent English required, Korean language capability an advantage; willingness to travel as required.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
