A Snapshot of Your Day

Obsolescence is a key risk in the project and lifecycle business of complex energy solutions. In your role as Obsolescence & Change Manager (m/f/d), you establish and integrate effective obsolescence management for HVDC / FACTS / BESS solutions across the organization. You drive the required organizational change by implementing clear processes, roles, interfaces, and governance structures and ensuring their adoption across relevant functions. This enables the consistent flow of obsolescence information, early identification and transparent assessment of risks, and effective mitigation measures. In this way, you ensure lifecycle continuity, minimize operational and commercial risks, and support long-term customer commitments across our portfolio.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Establish a holistic obsolescence management framework for HVDC / FACTS / BESS solutions and continuously develop the overarching obsolescence strategy and internal processes.
  • Anchor obsolescence management across all relevant areas of the Solutions organization, particularly in Purchasing, Sales, Tender Management, Engineering, Project Management, and R&D.
  • Define and take ownership of clear roles, interfaces, and governance structures to ensure effective obsolescence management across the organization.
  • Drive the further development, implementation, and organizational adoption of existing internal obsolescence processes and take responsibility for their consistent application in tenders and customer projects.

What You Bring

  • Successfully completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable technical or business-related discipline.
  • Several years of professional experience in complex project environments with customer-specific solutions and long product lifecycles, ideally combined with experience in organizational transformation or change initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in change management, project leadership, and stakeholder management, including the confident coordination of cross-functional topics across different functions and hierarchy levels.
  • Experience in implementing and sustainably anchoring new processes, roles, governance structures, and ways of working in complex organizational environments.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, assertiveness, a high level of ownership, and the ability to engage stakeholders, address resistance, and drive organizational change; experience in obsolescence, lifecycle, supply chain, or risk management is an advantage.
