A Snapshot of Your Day

The Internal Proposal Manager is responsible for coordinating, preparing, and governing competitive, accurate, and executable proposals from the factory to support the Business Development Manager and the US Sales organization. The role ensures that all offers fully reflect factory capabilities, cost structures, lead times, and risk standards while enabling Sales to pursue market opportunities effectively.

The position acts as the single point of contact within the factory for proposal related activities and ensures disciplined execution from bid phase through order handover.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Own the factory quotation and proposal process, translating customer and sales requirements into accurate, compliant technical and commercial bid packages.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional factory inputs (Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance) to align scope, cost, schedule, capacity, and execution constraints.
  • Manage proposal timelines, internal bid reviews, and closure of technical and commercial open points to ensure on‑time, high‑quality submissions.
  • Consolidate and validate costing, assumptions, and exclusions; support Sales with scenario comparisons, trade‑off analysis, and cost transparency.
  • Govern margin protection through consistent costing methodologies, deviation control, and structured approval processes.
  • Assess execution feasibility and risks (capacity, lead times, materials, engineering workload), ensuring mitigation actions and policy compliance prior to submission.
  • Lead handover from proposal to execution, ensuring assumptions, clarifications, and commitments are clearly transferred to enable smooth manufacturing execution.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with 8+ years of experience in proposals, commercial operations, project execution, or sales support within a manufacturing, industrial, or engineered‑products setting.
  • Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of factory operations, engineered products, and execution constraints across the value chain.
  • Demonstrated commercial and analytical acumen, with a focus on cost control, margin optimization, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to coordinate effectively in cross‑functional, matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and challenge assumptions using data and facts.
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC if not already based in the area (relocation assistance can be provided).
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Internal employees with current US visa sponsorship may be considered
