A Snapshot of Your Day

 As an Initial Spare Parts (ISP) Proposal Manager, you will organize and participate in internal and external alignment meetings along proposal and execution phases of New Unit and Service Projects to cover spare part-related topics until final hand-over to the respective execution teams. Screen project specifications and requirements to prepare spare part related calculations & contract documents for New Unit and Service Projects. Communicate with your internal colleagues to exchange project experience and share best practice.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate all the efforts of the team such as organization of coordination meetings to ensure that the team is on track to deliver spares lists per agreed dates or contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with Component Engineering to ensure vendors provide spare parts lists as per requirements and specifications
  • Develop the scope of Spares List and related Proposals. Preparation of appropriate proposal cost and margin analysis, bid approval and handover documentation as required by Sales/ Project Management at different stages during sales/ project implementation process
  • Process parts order and quotes in SAP PD2 and KSP to meet project timelines.
  • Create new Material Master parts in SAP/OPP, with operations in KFP, PD2 and KSP to meet project requirements
  • Management of the project handover process for the spare part portion to project execution in the Region and Business Unit.
  • Work with global portfolio of customers and internal stakeholders.

 

What You Bring 

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the areas of project/ proposal management in the field of power generation business
  • Keen interest in supporting the energy industry to increase productivity, energy efficiency and to decarbonization
  • Focused, organized, and receptive to other people’s opinions and views, ability to analyze and collaborate efficiently with teams
  • Drive, energy, persistence, and capability to enthusiasm people around you
  • MS Excel, MS Windows, MS Office knowledge, SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Show business acumen and ability to work independently as well as lead project specific teams for spare part proposals
  • Keen to learn and adapt approach to incorporate additional technologies or solutions
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

The Initial Spare Parts Team ensures that spare parts availability is planned from day one, enabling smooth commissioning, efficient maintenance, and high product availability throughout the product lifecycle.
