A Snapshot of Your Day

Much of the working day is spent diagnosing and resolving technical problems. This may involve working with hardware, software, networks or company-specific systems. Daily, they interact with internal customers or users to better understand their problems and provide solutions. In addition to solving problems remotely, they also participate, in person, in the implementation of projects and services at power plants in the country and/or abroad.

  • Remote troubleshooting

  • Configure systems and products as T3000 administrator
  • Perform remote inspections

What You Bring

  • Profile: Instrumentation and Control + Information Technologies
  • Degree in Computer Science / Computer Systems Engineer / Control and Automation Engineer / Mechatronics Engineer.
  • + 1 year of experience in the Information Technology sector and/or in the Instrumentation and Control area.
  • General knowledge of the processes and main components of power generation plants.
  • Administration of operating systems (Windows, Linux), knowledge of local networks (Servers, Hubs, Switches, Routers and firewalls), Antivirus (McAfee / Trend Micro).
  • Configuration and Programming of PLC's (Programmable logic Controller), design of open/closed control loops, knowledge of process sensors, redundancy concept, knowledge of networks, communication components and protocols (Ethernet, Profi-Bus, Field-Bus, TCPIP, CS275, Sinec-H1, Modbus, DNP 3. 0), S7 communication (PtP, HART, S7-to-S7-F, S7-to-FM458, S7-F-to-S7-F, S7-to-CS3000, S7-to-AS3000), IEC61850), Cable and wiring concepts, cable connections, cycle times.
  • Preferably with knowledge in: SPPA-T3000, PCS7, SIMATIC S7, WinCC
  • Language: native Spanish, advanced technical English 90% (written and spoken). German and/or Portuguese desirable.
  • High availability to travel (nationally and internationally) up to 95% of the time.
  • High availability to be on call 24/7.

About the Team

In the SE GS LA CD SO REC department, we are responsible for providing remote technical support and for the implementation, maintenance and updating of the control system of our customers in Latin America. This contributes to maintaining the operational availability of the power plants.
