A Snapshot of Your Day

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and team performance. This role ensures OSHA compliance, resolves production issues, coordinates staffing and training, and manages employee performance and attendance. The supervisor will analyze production metrics, oversee quality control documentation, and motivate teams to meet targets. Additional responsibilities include managing shop supply usage, adjusting schedules based on customer needs, and leveraging SAP for operational data..

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Promote and enforce safety: Ensure all manufacturing personnel follow safe work practices and maintain OSHA compliance on the shop floor.
  • Oversee daily operations: Address production issues, coordinate across shifts and departments, and adjust schedules based on customer requirements.
  • Manage staffing and training: Distribute employees effectively, train new/transferred staff, and coordinate temporary staffing needs.
  • Monitor performance and discipline: Track attendance, mediate personnel issues, conduct disciplinary actions, and evaluate overtime needs.
  • Drive efficiency and quality: Review production metrics, ensure QCIs are completed accurately, and motivate teams to meet targets and improve processes.
  • Control resources and systems: Manage shop supply purchases, review performance against goals, and utilize SAP for production and quality data.
  • Promote and lead continuous improvement by applying 5S methodology as a component of a Lean production system.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, an associate’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a high school degree with 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • 2+ years of manager/supervisor/team lead experience is preferred
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of large rotating equipment & manufacturing processes is a plus
  • Knowledge of machining processes & tools is a plus

About the Team

Our Large Generator Rotor Operations team is responsible for manufacturing large electric generator rotors weighing up to 275 tons. We operate within the Large Generator team to supply new 150 – 1000 megawatt generators to power plants all over the world. In addition to manufacturing new rotors, we also service generator rotors by providing inspections, rewinds, modernizations, and upgrades.

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
