Over de functie
A Snapshot of Your Day
Join us, as a Software implementation working student for Hybrid Plant Controllers in Madrid (C/ Ramirez de Arellano 37) and Tres Cantos (Ronda Europa, 5). At the start of your day, you’ll plan the development of tools that support the design and testing of controllers for hybrid power plants. You’ll interact continuously with other developers via Microsoft Teams, receiving guidance and support across different work areas. Periodically, you’ll meet in person with your supervisor, who will help you plan and achieve your objectives. Through these controllers, you’ll contribute to integrating renewable energy and electrochemical batteries into the electrical grid, supporting Siemens Energy’s mission to enable a sustainable energy future.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Develop testing tools to verify compliance with grid code specifications.
- Generate tools for creating controller models in different programming languages.
- Design test protocols to be implemented using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) methodologies.
- Manage and improve software architecture and documentation for various tools and codebases.
What You Bring
- Studies: electrical, electronic, industrial and energy engineering.
- Knowledge of power system control.
- Programming skills (MATLAB/Simulink, or similar).
- Familiarity with basic office tools such as Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint (desirable).
- Strong analytical mindset and willingness to learn.
- English B2/C1 Level
