A Snapshot of Your Day 

Will be providing support to the transformer team in a variety of tasks that will improve the efficiency of the service group participating as a team member to develop scope/service documentation, providing schedule guidance, and outage planning. Will provide support including but not limited to, scope development, submittals, customer deliverables, work packages, One Drive organization, Server record management, Sales Force updates, logistics, report generation, procurement, and Emergency management assistance.


How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Supporting project managers, Proposals Engineers as well Field Service Engineers with projects and services contracts.
  • Participating as a team member to develop Service documentation, provide schedule guidance, and outage planning.
  • Coordinating personal lodging, travel and other transportation, as needed completing time and expense and field service job reports when performing at site, using online/administrative tools or software.
  • Assisting with coordination of test /rental equipment when needed.
  • Recommending alterations to development and design to improve the quality of processes and or procedures.
  • Aiding project team in registration/inventory of assets.
  • Supporting the proposal team with reading specifications for tender, calculating and writing tender proposals based on RFQ received, and entering opportunities into Salesforce. Works closely with the proposal team and parts business.

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering; 8 years of experience can be substituted for a degree. The candidate will work under the direct supervision and training of senior personnel within Siemens Energy Transmission Services. The successful candidate will be trained on Transformers, FACTS, and HVDC station equipment and controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Reports directly to the QA/QC Manager and performs work under the supervisory direction of project managers and field service managers. Effective communication with both, the Ops Manager, and staff, is required throughout active projects and when awaiting assignment and/or standby time.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
