A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Test Operations Manager for Siemens Energy’s Small Gas Turbines (SGT), you will lead and run the test facility in Lincoln, ensuring all engine testing is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality. You will drive strategic and operational improvements, support delivery of both new unit and service programmes, and play a key role in preparing the facility for future low-carbon technologies.


How You'll Make an Impact

  •  Lead the execution of SGT testing operations, ensuring all engines are delivered on time, safely, and to quality and cost targets.
  •  Identify and implement operational and strategic investments to improve test efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support new technologies.
  •  Manage resources, including people, infrastructure, and tooling, to ensure the facility is fit for both current and future testing needs.
  •  Prepare, agree, and manage budgets aligned with operational and business targets.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
  •  Drive a culture of continuous improvement, effective communication, and employee engagement within the team.
  •  Collaborate across departments to support broader business goals and future test capability requirements.

What You Bring

  • Proven leadership experience within a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
  •  Strong background in test operations, preferably involving rotating equipment or gas turbines.
  •  A strategic attitude, with the ability to manage budgets and lead improvement initiatives.
  •  In-depth understanding of HSE regulations and a demonstrated commitment to safety.
  •  Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  •  Experience managing capital projects and supporting infrastructure upgrades is desirable.
  •  Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering discipline.

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
