A Snapshot of Your Day
The Supplier Quality & Development Organization is responsible for securing the best performing supply base in quality, reliability, and safety. In this role you will be directly supporting the Gas Services Central Global Customer Operations business by monitoring and continuously improving electrical system suppliers globally.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Supplier Monitoring: Perform supplier oversight and product inspections for regular project execution to ensure compliance with specification. Inspection types include visual, dimensional, weld, coating, pressure, traceability, quality records.
- Supplier Audit Program: Perform routine audits according to supplier risk categorization and audit program. Audits are according to ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001.
- Nonconformance Management: Identify and initiate containment on any identified non-conformances. Follow-up with corrective action as necessary.
- Supplier Development: Support supplier evaluation based on regular analysis of supplier quality. Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and definition of appropriate risk mitigation measures at the supplier.
- Controlling and Reporting: Generate periodical quality performance reports and ensure appropriate improvement actions are initiated.
- Typical equipment of suppliers in scope includes interconnect piping, piping expansion joints, pipe racks, and flex hoses. Manage various Supplier Quality Management tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in electrical engineering or a similar discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- At least 10 years preferred professional experience in supplier quality management, quality management, or engineering in the Power Generation or similar Industry.
- You have experience supporting ramp up and serial production by appropriate quality assurance measures for materials, products, and services from suppliers.
- You are familiar with ASME (II, V, VIII, IX, B31.X) and AWS (D1.1, D1.6), or EN / ISO equivalent code requirements. Extensive knowledge in welding, coating, material cleaning & preservation, and inspection (NDT Level II & III). CWI / CSWIP 3.1 / IWE certification preferred. NACE (AMPP / FROSIO) certification preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in auditing. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification preferred. Experience with manufacturing standards, Lean manufacturing, and specifications (ASTM, ISO). Understanding of Lean Practices, and applying quality tools and methods (5S, PDCA, FMEA, RCA, 5 WHY, Poka Yoke). Working with and developing international suppliers, especially in Global Value Sourcing countries.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time. Must have or be able to obtain a passport.
