A Snapshot of Your Day

We are looking for a Spare Parts Manager to oversee the inventory, ordering, and sales of replacement parts for our products. You will be responsible for ensuring that we have the right parts available at the right time and at the right price to meet the needs of our customers and service technicians. The Spare Part Manager is responsible for handing over the complete contracted spare parts and documentation in compliance with the project milestones as well as improving customer satisfaction.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Analyzes customer requirements and coordinates with technical departments to determine spare parts and auxiliary equipment (special tools) needs and formulate specific recommendations for spare parts/repairs and auxiliary equipment 
  • Manages and controls inventory of spare parts orders
  • Handover of contracted spare parts to the customer including required documentation and technical information and in compliance with contracted deadlines and project milestones
  • Work with responsible departments to forecast and manage budget, establish schedules, and monitor costs and delivery of spare parts to meet contractual obligations
  • Coordination of spare parts orders with sub-project management and engineering, subject to project requirements, delivery times and durability
  • Collaborate with service managers and technicians to ensure they have the necessary parts and tools to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Maintaining the database on spare parts inventory, orders, and ensuring timely availability of accurate data all the time
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies

What You Bring
  • Strong professional experience in project management of large-scale industrial power generation or transmission facilities in the area of technical processing of customer specifications, commissioning, service, and/or warranty
  • You have many years of professional experience in Spare Parts management & inventory control; ideally you have already gained experience in contract knowledge, negotiation skills & technical product and system knowledge
  • Completed university studies with an engineering background or a comparable education in the field of electrical or power engineering with specific further education or knowledge acquired by other means
  • Strategic thinking and hands-on operational implementation approach, strong analytical IT skills, SAP, Excel
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) any other language (German) is an advantage
  • Availability to work from our Bucharest office 3 days per week, with 2 days remote
