A Snapshot of Your Day

Your day begins at the Power Transformer factory in Guanajuato, reviewing ongoing field service activities, assigned installation plans, active warranty cases, and field technical reports while aligning priorities with the Field Service Team. Whether supporting a critical transformer issue remotely or preparing for a site intervention, you ensure all required data and documentation are in place before execution.

You coordinate with the Field Service team and collaborate closely with Project Management, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure that required resources, documentation, and materials are aligned and available to support service activities and customer orders.

Throughout the day, you provide real-time technical support, make critical decisions, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to secure replacement parts, clarify scope, or resolve warranty-related matters. You document findings, prepare detailed technical reports, and communicate results clearly to both internal teams and customers. Your feedback contributes directly to product improvement, long-term reliability of the installed fleet, and customer satisfaction.

No two days are the same: one day you may be resolving a transformer failure at a remote site, and the next providing expert guidance to prevent future issues. In every situation, you bring technical excellence, ownership, and a strong safety mindset to ensure the equipment performs reliably and the customer remains confident in our solutions.

Approximately 15% of your time may involve site visits for critical troubleshooting, failure investigations, commissioning support, or strategic customer support.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Execute and support on-site and remote troubleshooting activities, acting as a technical authority to resolve complex transformer issues while minimizing downtime, customer impact, and ensuring adherence to HSE standards.

  • Oversee end-to-end warranty case management, including failure analysis, planning and execution of corrective actions, cost-of-non-quality control, and technical reporting.

  • Manage and ensure the accurate and timely processing of replacement parts and service purchase orders, guaranteeing material availability and on-time delivery commitments to customers.

  • Drive continuous improvement for products and internal processes by providing feedback to Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality, and by supporting preventive and corrective actions.

  • Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers, Project Management, Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure timely issue resolution and strong cross-functional cooperation.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Promote a strong safety-first mindset, ensuring disciplined execution of field operations under high-risk conditions such as high voltage, heavy equipment, and site constraints.

  • Make informed and timely decisions for complex technical or cross-functional issues based on technical analysis, risk, and customer impact.

  • Ensure effective collaboration with Project Management, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to deliver integrated and timely solutions.

  • Anticipate operational risks such as delays and material shortages, and drive proactive mitigation plans to protect project timelines and customer operations.

  • Strengthen a customer-focused culture by ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and long-term relationship development with internal and external key clients.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering. Other related degrees may be considered with relevant experience.

  • Advanced English proficiency, including both conversational and technical communication.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with strong presence, capable of inspiring accountability, resolving complex situations, managing conflict, and maintaining team focus and performance under pressure.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in power transformer projects, including installation, maintenance, commissioning, and troubleshooting in field environments. Experience in design, testing, or manufacturing is highly valued.

  • Strong expertise in failure analysis, root cause methodologies (RCA), interpretation of field test results including electrical, control, and mechanical tests, industrial communication protocols, and Microsoft Office. SAP experience is a plus.

  • Proven experience managing warranty claims, nonconformities, and technical service activities in coordination with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong leadership presence, capable of handling critical situations, managing customer expectations, and driving results under pressure while demonstrating integrity and confidentiality.

  • Experience working with utilities, EPCs, or industrial customers, managing technical discussions with credibility and professionalism.

  • Strong personal competencies: ownership, resilience, decisiveness, collaboration, structured problem solving, and ability to operate in high-pressure environments.

  • High proficiency in spoken and written technical English, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
