A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a Substation Sr. Project Manager to lead EPC substation projects as the primary responsible lead and point of contact to our customers. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, finance, procurement, and construction teams to ensure projects are executed in accordance with the business strategy. This candidate will also be the primary point of contact for the data center customer for these substation projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Efficiently manage projects to maintain schedules, customer satisfaction, and financial responsibilities, including profit/loss accountability.
- Lead project management activities such as scheduling, budgeting, risk management, change management, opportunity assessment, forecasting, and regular reporting to management.
- Oversee and collaborate during preconstruction, estimating, and proposal development for new and existing business opportunities.
- Create and share project-specific lessons learned to reduce non-conformance costs and apply industry knowledge to streamline processes and solve project issues.
- Serve as the primary contact for data center customers and subcontractors, tracking action items and deliverables, and communicating regularly with customers.
- Work closely with international cross-functional teams to plan project deliverables, resources, budgets, and schedules, while continuously learning AIS/GIS technology and market dynamics.
What You Bring
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant required; Masters Degree in Engineering or Engineering Management preferred.
- EPC project experience required.
- 8 or more years of project management experience preferred. Experience in process improvement, contract management and document & quality management desired. Project Management certifications preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience with Transmission or Distribution Substations preferred.
- Basic knowledge of GIS/AIS, BOP, Switchgear products, electrical substations and equipment.
- Must possess excellent communication, leadership, team building & customer facing skills.
Ability to travel as needed, could meet or exceed 30%.
