About the role
Design and Development
: Take the lead in creating innovating gas turbine systems and their components. You’ll craft specifications and layouts that prioritize performance, safety, and regulatory standards.

Systems Integration: Work on integrating gas turbine systems with other applications, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently together.

Technical Leadership: Share your expertise by mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with teams across manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales.

Performance Optimization: Dive into analyzing and enhancing the performance of gas turbines through simulations and testing, implementing exciting improvements for better efficiency and reliability.

Troubleshooting: Use your problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix complex issues that arise during design, testing, or operation.

Research and Development: Stay ahead of the curve by exploring the latest technology trends and applying innovative ideas to develop new systems or upgrade existing ones.

Documentation: Keep everything organized by preparing and maintaining design files, test reports, and operation manuals, ensuring they meet industry standards.

Quality and Compliance: Play a key role in ensuring that all engineering activities meet quality standards and align with legal, environmental, and safety laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in gas turbine engineering, (5-10 years or more), with a demonstrated track record of success in previous roles.
  • Deep understanding of gas turbine technology and associated auxiliary systems and their integration.

 


Skills

  • Expertise in the design of auxiliary P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) for gas turbine systems, ensuring functional safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with multi-functional teams and to articulate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the gas turbine engineering field.
  • Leadership skills to mentor junior engineers and lead technical teams towards successful project outcomes.
  • Adaptability to work on a variety of projects and to embrace new technologies and methodologies in the field.
  • A meticulous attention to detail to ensure the quality and accuracy of designs and documentation.
  • Knowledge of international codes and standards (such as ASME, ISO, etc.) related to gas turbine engineering and design.
