A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation within the Regional Accounting team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and present comprehensive financial insights, highlighting key trends and opportunities for improvement. In your daily responsibilities, you will oversee the month-end close process, manage SAP reporting, and communicate with external auditors to provide the necessary documentation. Staying up-to-updated on various automation tools and supporting the team in building and maintaining effective solutions will be essential to our overall success.
Your proactive engagement in strategic discussions will focus on advancing digitalization and automation initiatives. You will work on various projects as needed, address ad-hoc requests, and identify and mitigate financial risks.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the charge in driving digitalization and automation initiatives within the North America regional accounting team, optimizing workflows, enhancing accuracy, and leveraging technology to improve efficiency.
- Identifying automation opportunities in collaboration with all AC teams and fostering a culture of learning and conducting learning sessions on various tools and workshops to develop innovative solutions.
- Assist in the preparation and consolidation of Balance Sheet account reconciliations, focusing on automation and improving accuracy in general accounts, while supporting GL accounts reviews and reconciliations, including Journal Entries preparation, to ensure accuracy and compliance with Central topics (AP/ICC/other).
- Assist the team in closing process and integrating the wind power business area with the legacy gas & power business areas.
- Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary SAP reports and supporting documentation and drive a more digital audit approach with the auditors.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration or in a related field.
- 5+ years of related accounting/finance experience.
- High proficiency in SAP and MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Knowledge and experience with financial systems data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau) is highly desirable, as you will leverage these tools to enhance reporting and decision-making.
- Demonstrate strong presentation and communication skills, coupled with exceptional organizational abilities to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and dynamic work environment.
