A Snapshot of Your Day
In order to shape together with us the future of the green hydrogen industry in the field of Hydrogen (H2) systems up to Power-to-X solutions, you prepare bids mainly in region Asia Pacific together with the Technical Sales and Bid Management Team in close interaction and with regional entities / headquarter as per client/tender requirements and negotiate contracts until successful signature.
Your position has lots of internal and external interfaces as well different tasks - from developing strategies for bids with your technical counterparts, contract analyzing, clarifying export and tax regulations, doing calculations and much more.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsible for creating budgetary and firm bids in collaboration with the Authorized Bid Project Manager and the bidding team, focusing on the Asia Pacific region.
- Complete the full scope of financial and commercial activities during the sales phase based on SE’s Project Excellence Guide and applicable guidelines, requiring a hands-on demeanor.
- Analyze tender requirements, handle and mitigate risks in commercial areas including currency risks, financial security instruments, terms of payment, insurance, export control & customs, and compliance.
- Structure bids considering customer and tax requirements, guide regional colleagues in onshore parts, and create visible wall-to-wall calculations.
- Manage financial results according to set targets, optimizing gross profit, cash flow, and assets in bids, and support the selection and evaluation of business partners.
- Own the negotiation of commercial terms and consortium contracts in coordination with relevant departments, and support the SES regional head in preparing country and regional strategies for hydrogen activities
What You Bring
- Hold a degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or an apprenticeship with relevant professional experience, and certification as a Commercial Sales or Project Manager for category B or C projects is favorable.
- Possess advanced skills in bid preparation, contract negotiation, taxes, NCM, financing, accounting, reporting principles, and claim and risk management.
- Have long-term hands-on experience in commercial bid and sales management, preferably in complex projects within the construction, engineering, energy generation, or transmission industries.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Controlling and Management Accounting (IFRS), and experience with ERP, Finance systems, financial digitalization (preferably SAP, Tableau, Alteryx), and MS Office.
- Team player with a cross-functional and cross-organizational approach, able to connect with people at all levels, and comfortable working in a virtual international organization.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in business-fluent English, with flexibility to travel for customer negotiations and meetings with consortium partners; fluency in German or another Asian language is an advantage.
