How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead and manage the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) team, providing direction, support, and development opportunities.
- Establish and communicate departmental goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
- Oversee the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers, ensuring they meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct and supervise on-site supplier audits and assessments.
- Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance processes and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance data, including defect rates, delivery performance, and compliance with specifications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier-related quality issues.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve their quality management systems and processes.
- Provide training and support to suppliers to ensure alignment with company quality standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with supplier quality.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain comprehensive records of supplier evaluations, audits, and performance metrics.
- Prepare and present regular reports on supplier quality performance to senior management.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier quality management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with collaborators and internal team members.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed to conduct supplier audits and evaluations.
