A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Protection Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on excitation systems and SFC, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will diagnose technical issues, provide customer training, and collaborate with project teams to implement effective solutions, all while adhering to safety standards and staying updated on industry trends.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades for excitation systems and SFC.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software components.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on operation and maintenance best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop and implement technical solutions.
- Prepare detailed service reports and documentation for internal and customer use.
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy and customer safety standards at all times.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of field service experience with excitation systems or power generation equipment.
- Proven experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of excitation systems.
- Strong knowledge of control systems and power plant operations.
- Ability to work independently in the field with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
