Its key objective is to transform our historical patchwork of 23 legacy SAP systems into a completely new platform based on the latest state-of-the-art SAP S/4 HANA technology. At the same time, S4E-Unify is aiming for the optimization and harmonization of SE’s worldwide Business Processes across all Business Areas, Regions and Functions. Goal is to significantly reduce complexity, increase speed and flexibility, foster cross-organizational collaboration and finally drive significant cost reductions. The S4E-Unify core team consists of roughly 300 colleagues around the globe plus a substantial extended community of subject matter experts (SME), change network ambassadors and other contributors. It affects 40,000 global users and follows an implementation roadmap through 2030. The S4E program is delivered through phased “Unify” rollout waves, bringing sites and business areas live step by step on SAP S/4HANA. It includes standardized business templates, a defined operating model with strong governance and board‑level sponsorship, and an enhanced user experience that modernizes how employees work.
