A Snapshot of your day

As a lead for RCA / technical failure investigation for GT, GN, ST topics (primary focus is on GT components), you will find yourself working in a challenging and rewarding position working closely with cross functional team and our customers. This position also involves significant internal collaboration across organizations such as product management (PRM), engineering, field service, repair, supply management, etc.

As an RCA lead, you will managing one or more technical failure investigation – from identification to conclusion and mitigation / solution development.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead RCA – collaborate with your team members, component experts, cross functional investigation teams, etc., define and coordinate investigation, drive conclusions – root cause, contributing factors, define mitigation measures.
• conduct investigation: generate fault tree and investigation plan. Assign tasks to team members
• evaluate inspection photographs. perform fleet comparison, design analysis, operation data analysis, lab material analysis etc.
• Create RCA report and/or presentation
• Present investigation status, results to management and customers
• Reduce NCC’s and help improve financials
• Significantly improve customer satisfaction
• Technical presentations to the customers on different issues

What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities

• A graduate or postgraduate degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace.
• Over 5 years of experience in gas turbine engineering, including issue resolution, root cause investigation, and material failure analysis.
• Preferred understanding of gas turbines, turbomachinery, or power generation.
• Basic knowledge of metallic materials and mechanical integrity is preferred.
• Ability to structure and analyze, with strong motivation and persistence.
• Proficiency in technical writing and conducting formal presentations.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines on time.
• Intercultural experience and sensitivity.
• Teamwork skills: Comfortable leading an expert team across multiple time zones and cultures to answer technical questions and perform risk assessments.
• Networking skills: Ability to establish relationships and build networks in a global team setup, interfacing with other groups across the organization.
