A Snapshot of Your Day

The primary purpose of this position is to setup, operate, and maintain a variety of machine equipment in the repair area.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Use of documentation (quality documentation / records (Travelers and Forms)) / etc.
• Setup and operate machines in assigned areas such as EDM hole popper, EDM sinkers, Lasers, Grinder, Milling Machines, and Stem Drillers.
• Assist with setups as required to perform production jobs.
• Assist with programming edits as required with the understanding of specialized machine codes that are specific to EDMs, Lasers, and Grinders.
• Check machined parts for conformance to print requirements or work instructions such as MRDs, key cards, etc
• Ensure that equipment functions accurately by performing daily checks and scheduled preventative maintenance and calibration as needed

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• It is expected to take 6 weeks maximum to become proficient in all the job responsibilities.
• Communicate clearly with personnel in the area about issues, and statuses both verbally and in writing to minimize confusion and/or loss of time.
• Must have a working knowledge of the fundamentals of EDMs, Lasers, and Grinders, and all equipment associated with the machines.
• Requires experience in a machine shop or repair shop.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
