Regional Sales Development Manager – Compression
Join Siemens Energy Compression as a Regional Sales Development Manager, responsible for technical sales, achieving sales targets, leading the regional sales team, identifying new business opportunities, and developing technical solutions.
Collaborate with the customer relationship team, connect with bid management, engineering, and global product centers, and develop regional compression leads in North & Latin America. Work with global operational teams worldwide to drive growth and operational excellence.
This position will have a direct reporting line to the Global Head of Sales & Bid Management in the Siemens Energy Compression business segment.
We are looking for a highly experienced, self-motivated, dynamic, customer-focused leader that looks at shaping the Compression business for future generations!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage the complete sales development procedure for intricate projects involving standard aftermarket services connected to centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, geared compressors, and gas engines.
- Responsible for opportunity discovery & qualification; strategy setting & development.
- Identifying & influencing key decision makers and successfully navigating complex internal & external selling environments.
- Drive service business growth across all core markets and portfolio including Modernization & Upgrades, Repair, Field Service, Parts, Controls, Digitalization, & Service Programs.
- Apply keen business sense to craft and convey a compelling value proposition that supports company growth and profitability targets.
- Foster and sustain robust relationships with crucial customers & associates, recognizing their needs to craft customized solutions, and secure customer happiness through delivering exceptional service and support.
- Engage with senior leaders to design and deploy a robust sales strategy for smooth adoption throughout the regional business.
- Responsible for forecasting all segment service business across the European regional territory– Salesforce funnel, and accuracy/quality of forecasts.
- Leading handover process to the commercial and delivering teams for every new project. Responsibilities include final purchase order review and capture; and leading/participating in all internal and external kick-off meetings.
- Participate and potentially lead SE business growth initiatives as needed.
- Achieve sales goals and financial targets by understanding and meeting customer needs.
- Monitor market & industry trend activity.
- Perform regular financial analysis & report out on key performance indicators.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field preferred. 7+ years specializing in technical sales, marketing, business development, or strategy. Proven success in diverse markets.
- Strong knowledge & diverse background in various compressors or industrial rotating equipment suppliers. Previous experience working for a compressor or major rotating equipment supplier is preferred.
- Possessing a strategic outlook with in-depth familiarity regarding the products, services, and markets related to centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, or geared compressors, coupled with a comprehension of compressor performance & application principles.
- Compressor & System knowledge – experience in compressor engineering, including aero & mechanical design.
- Experience working with multinational organizations and in diverse cultural environments, demonstrating strong intercultural communication skills.
- Demonstrates adeptness in analytical, organizational, and leadership proficiencies, along with the skill to formulate and carry out crucial outputs in a timely manner and with exceptional quality.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and comfortable presenting to internal & external senior leadership.
- Effective networking and relationship-building abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating collaborators at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the region and internationally, as required.
- Fluent in English, with additional languages seen as an advantage.
- Competent in working with PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce & Tableau tools are preferred.
