A Snapshot of Your Day

The project planner is a key role in our order management team. This role is responsible for developing high-level project schedules for the manufacturing facility based on input provided from Tendering, Engineering, Sales, Procurement, and Manufacturing. Also, this person, in conjunction with the Advanced Planner, collaborates with the sales and manufacturing teams to develop the production forecast.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop project schedules: Create detailed schedules based on order requirements, production capacity, and materials availability.
  • Coordinate with departments: Work closely with procurement and production teams to ensure accurate forecasts of material readiness and production capacity.
  • Collaborate with collaborators: Communicate regularly with sales and marketing to align project plans and the manufacturing forecast with business objectives.
  • The project schedules ensure that achievement dates in new project bids are aligned with anticipated material availability & production capacity.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience in production planning or a related role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Outlook, & SAP. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Willing to travel atleast 20% (twice a year) and ready to work in evening shift.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in project schedules and production forecasts.
  • Works in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. Occasional visits to the production floor may be required to observe operations.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes involving machining and assembly of heavy equipment. Familiar with highly engineered products in a high-mix/low-demand environment
